As the year winds down, we like to pause, reset, and spend time together as a team. One of the ways we do that at Freeosk is by leaning into a little fun and friendly competition.
This past holiday season, our team came together for a virtual escape room challenge that turned collaboration into the main event. The experience dropped teams into a playful holiday island adventure, complete with riddles, clues, and a countdown clock ticking toward New Year’s Eve.
The setup was simple. After a vacation gone wrong, teams had to work together to solve puzzles, make their way off the island, and get home before the clock ran out. Each group had 60 minutes to crack clues, share ideas, and problem‑solve their way through the experience.
What stood out was how naturally teams leaned into collaboration. People jumped in with different approaches, built on one another’s ideas, and kept things light even when the clock was ticking. Every team successfully escaped before time ran out, which felt like a fitting way to close out the year.
While a little friendly competition never hurts, the real win was the connection. Laughs, teamwork, and shared problem‑solving made the experience feel less like a game and more like a reflection of how we work every day.
As we look ahead to the new year, we’re excited to keep building, learning, and yes, finding new things to escape into together.
